Just my opinion, but not a positive move in my opinion. Cabelas tended to be top quality items at less-than-LL Bean prices, plus they used to offer sizes that really fit. Now it's mostly about price. Lost their direction. Sad.
Cabelas allows concealed and open carry firearms where state laws govern the situation. The signs to check firearms are for guns being returned or traded in to the store.
Usually they are busy on the floor helping someone
Their slow, nothing in stock have to order on line
Yes
You can take dogs there just has to be well behaved and trained not to bark or sniff.
They sell everything at ms rp but they do run some amazing sales and offer coupons. Just have to wait for them not only that but their customer service is exceptional so any problems with your purchase and they will do the right thing
Probably has to do with this absurd virus talk
Good question might be something bass pro never did they "merged" with Cabelas a few years ago
Yes you can
Cabelas is the world's foremost outfitter, and this store proves it!! What a place! One can spend a whole day wandering the countless aisles and looking at all the awesome displays. The prices are competitive and they are following all proper social distancing guidelines.
One of my favorite place to shop for outdoor stuff. Also just fun to walk around.
Great place. Fishing supplies very depleted. Don't they restock?
You are welcome in when staff and members of Cabela's welcomes you into the store is very pleasant to be welcomed somewhere the shotgun shells in 90% of the ammo was empty on the shelves 50% of their shotguns we're going they did not have enough boat accessories most cells or empty I don't know what's going on
Had some nice sales. Got a nice wonter jacket for less than $50.
Extremely nice store and very accommodating to truck drivers. 💜 They even allow big trucks to park in their lot overnight. Thank you Cabela’s.
Great selection, unique items. The prices are a bit high, especially considering they should be lower due to purchasing power. In some cases prices are cheaper at mom and pop stores.
Even though it is a decent drive for me, anytime I get to this store it is a great experience. The food is great you can buy upstairs too.
Most staff friendly but 2 stars because of gun counter and gun pickup any staff that work in that are rude, passive aggressive, loud talkers (not sure why just are) and condescending. 4 hours to purchase a firearm. Staff will treat you differently depending on your appearance, will give you dirty looks. I will stick to the mom and pops. Wont be back. I will end with a positive for good vibes sake. They have an aquarium, fish pond and taxidermy museum that is good to check out.
Awesome place. Cool trophies on display and aquarium. Everything you could need to be an outdoorsman!
Love this place. I could spend all day here and I did. I've been to a few of their locations and this is easily the largest. I love the displays with the animals and all the information to give you a background of the different types of species and where they're native to. I was there for a few different reasons, clothing and ammo. Can't go wrong with the clothing selection as you can get whatever you need short of a tux for a wedding. Great selection of boots as well. Availability of ammo was about what I expected. Not enough to stock up for the revolution but enough to get me to the show and stand a chance at the end. Definitely more than most gun and ammo stores I've been to. Firearms, forget it they're out. All the paranoid first time buyers have gobbled up the good stuff unless you want a nice shiny $2000 revolver. All in all good day at Cabelas, I'll be back for sure.
Be careful of the hours they are open...don't depend on the website...drove an hour to get there to find them closed... very disgusting..call to make sure they are open..most likely due to covid...but they do not put on the website to call prior to going...
LARGE Store! Interesting exhibits, displays and aquariums. Great selection on outdoor clothing.
I have visited both stores in Hamburg, Pa and Christiana, De in the past month. The two stores are visually stunning. I am always impressed with this company's ability to provide great customer service and to have the best outdoor merchandise.
I'm a truck driver and sometimes finding a place to park for rest is hard to find. This place has a massive parking lot and designated truck parking. Haven't been inside due to it being after hours but just the fact that they actually have parking for truckers is awesome! Not many places let us park in their lot let alone have a parking area for us. I will be back during business hours for sure!
Normally busy on weekends, but still quick at the registers. Great stop for the kids to look at the animals.
An interesting place to go even if you're not super-outdoorsy like me. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Great place and ahopping. Staff very friendly
Great experiences so far. Good deals online, great customer service and response from management, price matching (+ 5% if club member), beautiful stores. Will definitely continue doing business here.
Well what can I say! Cabelas is Cabelas. A visit here is very entertaining and a good way to pick up any type of outdoor gear you may need.
Too crowded because people can't go anywhere other than shopping. Alot of hunting/ammo out of stock. Long line but moved pretty quick with 10 registers open
This place is the best of the best when it comes to outdoor equipment. Also, the decor is miles better than bass pro shop. In fact, it's worth going just to see all the different taxidermy animals. If you are in the area, you HAVE to stop.Note: this isn't a typical sporting goods store. You won't find sports equipment or any of those things. But if you looking for hunting/camping/fishing supplies, they got it
Its cabelas. One of the greatest outdoor stores of all time. If you need it, they probably have it.
Shopping in Cabela's @ Reading, PA is such an experience and memorable. Very nice place with many variaties of outdoor clothing's and gears.
Everywhere you go in the store, you find encouragement to get outside! The commitment to keeping the environment healthy is inspiring. Anything you need is right there!
Very nice and organized store, clean and very polite employees, would 10/10 recommend
We love visiting with the whole family..There us so much to see
Its a good place to shop but the manager Miky is really rude threw us out because we came early and we wasn't senior citizen I tried to explain to my spouse and she literally threw us out and told us to leave because their a senior citizen coming in mind you theirs more then 4 doors then as I try to explain to my spouse she told me look at the door what you can't read. I don't know how she can be rude to people especially being a manager and suppose to be greeting customers at the door 😒 rude and inconsiderate
I can't speak for the store because it was closed due to covid but I can speak to the parking lot! My family parked our RV there overnight. Well lit, safe, quiet, grassy area for the pup. They also had other free amenities for RVs such as gray water hook up. More than I would have ever expected from I a free parking lot! Thank you for the experience!
Always a great stop while travelling. Aquariums are high quality and the kids love the displays. Staff are always helpful when looking for stuff.
GREAT salesperson. Very helpful. There knowledge about what you need is AWSOME.
Ever since Bass Pro Shop bought out Cabela's I feel the atmosphere has changed. A lot of things that were great Cabela brand items are no longer available not to mention no more large selection of guns and ammunition.
In this age of Covid 19, I was upset to see that this store was very crowded. This made social distancing nearly impossible. Also, too many customers were either not wearing a mask or wearing their mask incorrectly by not covering both their nose and mouth. I am at high health risk, so rather than risk getting infected in these unsafe conditions, I left the store within 5 minutes of arriving. I won't go back to Cabela's any time soon. This is a store I enjoyed visiting pre-Covid. I am very disappointed to see they are not enforcing safe practices for customers like me.
Normally a great store but went in the dead of July to nothing stocked as well as the air conditioning system being broken. Could not find a single round of 9mm, 22 LR or 308 inside the entire store. They had a total of maybe 20 handguns (revolvers and semi automatics)...The staff inside the store was wonderful as always saving this review from being a 2☆
Love cabela's! Has everything you could possibly want but it can definitely be a bit pricey. However you get what you pay for.
We visited for the first time over the weekend, it was truly amazing. However my disappointed lies with the total lack of consideration alot of patrons have for not wearing a face mask . All employees had them and we're wearing them .a large amount of guest did not . I wish the staff was more enforcing of the states policy.
Absolutely a waste of time. For the last 2 years. No inventory and over priced. Always walk out empty handed. Im done with this place total joke.
Finally got to check this place out, and it's huge. My daughter and I wandered around and had a blast checking everything out. Will definitely come back.
Always loved going here! They are enforcing masks, however I wish they had hand sanitizer when you were walking in and leaving. Right now the cafeteria is closed due to the Pandemic.
Great place they have ammo right now so if you need it go get it
I tried to buy a gun that their website said they had in stock. There was a long line, which I expected. They had a sign in system so you can shop while you wait. I told the guy the model I wanted and he refused to look until I waited the two hours it took to be my turn. When it was my turn he immediately told me they dont have it. "The website lies" he said. At this moment their website still shows it in stock at the Hamburg location. These are firearms. Do they loose that many firearms? It's just a scam to see what I'll buy while I'm forced to wander the store.
Five stars just for the atmosphere and it just keeps getting better. The fish are getting so big. Love it
Love this place. Brought my 4 yr old son for the first time. Absolutley loved it
Love this store. Gun line a pretty long wait but I guess that's to be expected with everything going on in our beautiful country.
We walked in and nobody questioned us for not wearing a mask. The staff was friendly and helpful as always.
Really light on too many of the normal products. If you add in the restaurant and other things that are closed, it was a disappointing trip. I'm only giving them 3 stars because I understand that some of it is because of covid. However, if other places can find a way to get things running, Cabela's should be able to as well.
Love it here. Can't go wrong with an outdoor store. And is filled with stuff for kids to enjoy.
Still the best. The kids loved it. Sales are great
It is illegal to go in a gun store with a mask on. Dont need it by order of the CDC unless within 6 feet from people. You can still wear one if you would like. But great place! Great experience every time.
Great store, very clean. Not too busy. Not much small firearm ammo or handguns for sale.
